About Me

Hello! I am Hyeonmin Amber Lee, a post-master research assistant in the Computational Clinical Science Laboratory (CCSL) at Seoul National University.

I use computational models, behavioral tasks, and real-world monitoring data to investigate decision-making mechanisms relevant to psychopathology. I am especially interested in how learning, valuation, exploration, and behavioral control are shaped by clinically relevant states such as craving, withdrawal, stress, and negative affect.

My current work applies this approach to alcohol use, nicotine abstinence, naturalistic decision-making, and VR-assisted intervention for social anxiety. Building on these experiences, I hope to study how internal states and environmental contexts jointly shape maladaptive decision policies. Ultimately, I aim to develop computational frameworks that can measure, simulate, and inform personalized interventions for maladaptive behavior.

I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Seoul National University and am currently preparing to apply to Ph.D. programs in psychology, neuroscience, and related fields.
